Kalexsyn’s Extended Installation of ACD/1D NMR Processor Results in Improved Customer Service

by Tara Sinclair last modified 05-12-07 04:16 PM

Toronto, Canada (May 16, 2006)—Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) today announced an extension of the installation of ACD/1D NMR Processor at Kalexsyn’s Michigan facility.  Kalexsyn provides medicinal chemistry services to scientific customers engaged in the drug discovery process and are experts in all aspects of medicinal chemistry, including organic synthesis, physical property modification, analog strategies, and diversification of compound collections.  This software will be used by Kalexsyn to improve efficiency and provide them with added flexibility when dealing with customer requests.

ACD/1D NMR Processor has now been deployed to all of the chemists at Kalexsyn to provide them with the convenience of accessing their NMR data directly at their desks, without having to leave the lab.  By providing this access to the NMR data, the chemists can be more efficient on a day-to-day basis.  Integration with a state-of-the-art chemical drawing package allows for the seamless creation of high quality reports, using a unified template, that are sent to their customers.  Tools like J-Coupler, the unique multiplet analysis tool, has been a very useful feature for them as it allows them to quickly evaluate multiplicity and easily create a formatted multiplet report.  Because 1D NMR Processor is also being used by many of Kalexsyn’s customers, they can send electronic NMR data to them for their independent review.

Dr. Robert C. Gadwood, President and Chief Scientific Officer for Kalexsyn, states, “We are dedicated to doing everything we can to provide value to our customers.  Our deployment of ACD/Labs’ NMR Processors has helped increase the efficiency in our lab and allows us to provide better quality data and results to our customers.  All of our chemists are now able to manipulate their NMR data at their convenience which has eliminated the lengthy line-ups we used to face in our walk-up lab.  ACD/Labs was able to provide us with great tools that meet our needs and were competitively priced.”
