SUMMARY:The role of materials characterisation in pharmaceutical quality by edisgn & manufacture
DESCRIPTION:From measurements of individual crystals at the microscopi
c scale\, through to the macroscopic properties of bulk pharmaceutical
products\, material characterisation techniques play an increasingly
central role in product and process understanding. \nThe latest devel
opments in these techniques will be reviewed and also their applicatio
ns in exploring the pharmaceutical “Design Space” as part of Quali
ty by Design.\nThis meeting may be regarded as the measurement complem
ent of the JPAG symposium held on \n7 December 2006 entitled “Mater
ial functionality and fitness for purpose in solid dosage forms.”
