The complexity of APIs and fine chemicals has been increasing over the years and more and more stringent purity targets have to be met to comply with ever tougher regulations. At the same time, the economic pressure continuously drives down the costs of production. The combination of complexity and purity represents a real challenge for the pharmaceutical and fine chemical manufacturing industry, and traditional synthetic methods often become a bottleneck. This new conference will illustrate how novel approaches combining smart multi-step synthesis pathways combined with advanced purification technologies can deliver the desired high quality product at both development and production scale, in a time-efficient and cost-effective manner.
