This conference will have an emphasis on the science and technology associated with the synthesis and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, the aim is to showcase the use of PAT as a tool for increasing process understanding, robustness, reproducibility and efficiency in API manufacture, both in development and in commercial production. In addition to highlighting technical process issues and challenges in both lab and plant, we also hope to highlight regulatory, QA and GMP and validation challenges associated with the adoption of PAT for API manufacture, following the lead taken by the FDA's Guidance for Industry.
