This meeting aims to be the main forum for organic chemists and biotechnologists working in process research and development and scale-up to hear about the latest advances in the field of biotransformations and network with an international audience of over 150 attendees. Speakers from all areas of the chemical and biotechnology industry (pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, fine chemicals, flavour and fragrances and colour chemistry) will present case studies and examples of the problems and successes in process R & D. Topics such as new enzymes/organisms, new biotransformations (particularly for carbon-carbon bond formation) and purification methods will be discussed.
