An RSC Dalton Division meeting, sponsored by the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry. Main group chemistry has undergone a renaissance in recent years. This important field of chemistry continues to exert a broad impact across many disciplines of science. This meeting brings together a group of experts from around the world to take a fresh look at this field, in particular at the interface with transition metal chemistry and materials. In keeping with the international flavor of the topic, this Dalton Discussion meeting is being held in the United States, on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley.
