The Meeting concerns theorists, researchers, professors, experts, technicians, involved in multivariate techniques in order to improve the knowledge of the environment and of the cultural artefacts. Every analytical technique/method is welcome if it can be used in a multivariate way. A cultural item born in the Environment and suffers all the problems related to its natural and overall anthropogenic pollution; so, the environmental conditions play a fundamental ageing or protecting role on Cultural Heritage. As a consequence, any study regarding restoration and/or conservation of artefacts cannot be correctly carried out if in the past, present and future conservation, the Environment is not considered. Multivariate analysis and chemometry are essential integrated approaches to the knowledge of the history of the cultural item, its constructive techniques, degradation, dating and origin (integrated approach to the knowledge). More then 100 authors participated to the previous two CMA4CH editions held in Nemi (Oct. 2006) and Ventotene (Jun. 2008), Italy, under the patronise of the Unesco, the Italian Chemical Society, the National Order of Chemists of Italy and "La Sapienza" University! The Meeting will be a showcase for multivariate analysis and chemometric science on an International/Mediterranean Basin-level and allows meeting of chemists, physicists, archeometrists from industry, academia and other public institutions and thus provide a unique opportunity for discussing on the most recent developments in the field. We established a expensive "best presentation" prize and three prizes for young. One prize will be extracted among the 20 students of the cheap "Multivariate Analysis Course for Novices" held in the days before the CMA4CH. All work presented, poster or oral are subjected to a peer review procedure, a two page abstracts will be published in a book with ISBN.
