The POC diagnostics industry is rapidly expanding, and promises to answer the need for more integrated and immediate clinical results. Technologies are being developed that will integrate with the health information infrastructure to allow fast, accurate and easy-to-use assays. These can be used in global health and crisis response environments, as well as in clinical settings. Applications in stroke, respiratory disease, cardiac treatment will be featured that will take into consideration the unmet clinical need and the technology development that is unique to each application.
