The CBM series, an initiative that was launched in 1995 in Elsinor (Denmark), has consolidated its position in the rapidly growing area of glycosciences as a biennial interdisciplinary meeting for scientists from academia and industry. Like its predecessors in Elsinor, La Rochelle, Newcastle, Stockholm, Groningen and Barcelona (2005), CBM 7 in Braunschweig aims at stimulating high quality research in basic and applied aspects of carbohydrate bioengineering through the exchange of ideas and experience and a lively debate on state-of-the-art knowledge.
