The conference is organized under the auspices of the Russian Chemometrics Society, Saint Petersburg State Technological University of Plant Polymers, ACABS Research Group of University of Aalborg (Esbjerg), and Lappeenranta University of Technology. The conference brings together both academic scientists and industrial experts providing all conditions for their fruitful communication. Traditionally, WSC is friendly to young scientists and those beginning to carve their way in the data analysis. Participants are invited to deliver not only their final results but also discuss preliminary problem statements and methods, all in a strictly friendly atmosphere

The symposium program includes lectures of invited speakers, oral and poster presentations. The contributions may report both mature results and exploratory studies, problem discussions etc. Friendly and open-minded atmosphere is a characteristic feature of all WSC meetings. The program always provides ample time for discussions. The time for oral presentation is 20 minutes + 10 minutes for a discussion. The official symposium language is English. Poster contributions can be put up from the first day of the conference. The Symposium is preceded by the two days introductory school “Introduction to chemometrics”. The participants of the school will learn about the basic tools of multivariate data analysis like multivariate calibration and classification. All participants will receive Russian version of Camo's book “Multivariate Data Analysis in Practice”, written by Kim Esbensen in short translation. The school language is Russian. Parallel the one day preconference class “Chemometrics in Excel” will be given before the Symposium on Sunday, February 14. The classes' language is Eng
